Conference Theme: Bridging the gap between experimental and computational work in safety and risk assessment

This workshop will focus on improved integration of in vitro drug disposition assessments with the latest developments in the field of PB(P)K-based prediction. Special attention will also be given to prediction of (tissue) partition coefficients.

Workshop and hands-on training on Quasi-Vivo cell culture flow system and data management. The training is dedicated to scientists from industry, academia, consultancy and CROs interested in the application of advanced cell culture systems and to get familiar with the latest approaches related to experimental data management and integrated in vitro - in silico approaches.

EU Datathon is a competition intended to highlight the potential of linking EU and national data as well as to promote the reuse of open data. Participants are invited to develop apps using at least one dataset produced by the EU Institutions or Agencies available on the EU Open Data Portal. EFSA Challenge - Fostering data reuse and innovation based on the Comprehensive European Food Consumption and/or the OpenFoodTox database. Webinar on 22 June 2018, 14:00. Deadline for abstract submission for oral and poster presentations is 6 July 2018.

Ein Schwerpunkt der Tagung liegt auf dem Schutz der Gewässer. Es wird ein Überblick über den Stand der Umsetzung des Aktionsplans gegeben und spezifische Massnahmen zum Schutz der Gewässer werden vorgestellt. The EFSA conference 2018 is constructed around the motto “contextualising risk assessment”. This means reflecting on the future of risk assessment in food safety while acknowledging the social and political context within which it operates.
